Old Lawn Removal & Site Prep
We remove existing grass, excavate 3–4 inches of soil, and haul it away. A proper install starts with a clean, level base — skipping this step is the #1 reason turf installs fail within 2 years.
Compacted Base Rock
Two layers of crushed rock (¾" base, then decomposed granite or fines on top), compacted with a plate compactor. This is what keeps your turf flat and draining for 15+ years.
Weed Barrier & Drainage
Permeable weed barrier under the turf. On clay-heavy lots (common in Ceres and west Stanislaus County), we install weep holes and additional drainage to prevent pooling.
Premium Turf Laying & Seaming
Tight, offset seams bonded with seaming tape and turf adhesive — no visible lines. Edges secured with galvanized nails or bender board depending on the border.
Infill Application
- Silica sand — standard, cost-effective
- Zeolite / cool-touch — drops surface temp by ~15°F in summer
- Antimicrobial (Envirofill) — recommended for pet installs
