Palmstone Landscaping
Palmstone Landscaping works yards across Ceres and 95307 — the old-town lots around Fourth and Fifth Street, where the city's first house still stands, the established streets off Don Pedro and Service Road, the newer Eastgate side east of town, and Westpointe off Malik and Whitmore. Free walk-through of your yard, and a price before anything starts.
Watering here is a city rule, not a suggestion. Even addresses water Tuesday and Saturday, odd addresses Sunday and Wednesday, never Monday, Thursday or Friday, and never between noon and 7 p.m. Fines start with a warning and climb to $500. New sod and seed get no extra-watering waiver any more, so a lawn has to root in on two days a week — that changes when we lay it and how we set your timer.
Lawn Care
Mowing, edging, feeding and weed control from $49 a visit. With only two watering days a week, cutting height does more work here than anything else — we run the blade high through summer so the turf shades its own roots.
Yard Cleanups
Weeds through the fence line, leaf drop, side yards nobody has touched since fall — cut back, cleared and hauled away. Common on the older lots off Don Pedro and Service Road.
Concrete
Driveways, walkways, RV pads and patios. The slab inside your property line is yours to build; anything in the city right-of-way — the approach, the curb, the sidewalk — needs an encroachment permit from Ceres Engineering first.
Irrigation systems installation
New sprinkler and drip lines zoned for two watering days a week. Most of Ceres sits on sandy loam that drains fast, so short repeat cycles put water in the root zone where one long soak runs straight past it.
Natural Sod
Fresh-cut sod over graded, amended ground. Ceres gives new sod no extra watering days, so timing the install out of the heat does more for root-in than any amount of water would.
Sprinklers repair
Snapped heads, cracked laterals, valves that will not shut off. Free estimate before anything gets dug up, and we check that the timer actually matches your address's two days.
Yard drainage
Low spots that stay soggy after winter rain, water pooling against a driveway apron, downspouts emptying at the slab. Ceres ground mostly drains fast, so water that stands usually means the grade — or, in parts of town, a silt layer about three feet down that we can open up.
Artificial Turf
Turf earns its keep where grass gives up — deep shade, dog runs, the strip beside the driveway. Ceres' turf rebate pays $1 a square foot, up to $500 for a home, until the program's money runs out — permeable artificial turf qualifies, concrete does not.
