Palmstone Landscaping
Palmstone Landscaping works yards across Ripon and all of 95366 — the deep older lots off West Main Street, the tight tract backyards around Cindy Drive and Park View, the properties backing onto orchard rows out toward Jack Tone Road. It is a town of roughly 14,000 sitting in almond country, and the dirt changes within a few blocks: sandy loam that drains almost too fast near the Stanislaus River, then heavy packed orchard ground east of downtown. Mowing height, sprinkler spacing and how deep a footing gets dug all shift with it. Lawn care starts at $45 a visit, concrete at $8 a square foot; anything else, we quote free after a look.
Winter here is tule fog: weeks of flat grey where grass barely grows and a timer still running summer minutes will drown a lawn. Late winter the almond bloom drops petals and pollen over everything, which makes the first cleanup of the year the heavy one. We schedule around that — dormant pruning and clearing, spring startup and sprinkler repairs, then heat management from June on, whether the yard sits near Mistlin Sports Park or a block off Ripon High School. Insured, free estimates, Monday through Friday.
Lawn Care
Mowing, edging, feeding and weed control from $45 a visit. Sandy ground toward River Road dries out fast, so we run the blade higher through summer and let the turf shade its own roots.
Yard Cleanups
Blossom drop, leaf litter, weeds through the fence line and side yards nobody has touched since fall — cut back, cleared and hauled off. Common on the long lots near Ripon Elementary.
Concrete
Driveways, walkways, RV pads and patios from $8 a square foot. Loose river loam has to be compacted and based properly before the pour, or the slab tells on you a couple of winters later.
Irrigation systems installation
New sprinkler and drip lines zoned for the yard you actually have. A full-sun front lawn off North Maple Avenue wants different heads and run times than a shaded strip along the house.
Natural Sod
Fresh-cut sod laid over graded, amended ground. On sandy Ripon soil we work compost into the base first so water and feed stay in the root zone instead of sliding straight past it.
Sprinklers repair
Snapped heads, cracked laterals, valves that will not shut off, and lines the ground shifted over winter. Free estimate before anything gets dug up.
Yard drainage
Low spots that stay soggy for days under fog, water pooling against a driveway apron, downspouts emptying at the slab. We regrade and pipe it away from the house.
Artificial Turf
Turf earns its keep where grass gives up — deep shade, dog runs, the narrow strip beside the driveway. Nothing to mow in a Ripon August, and it stays green while fog keeps real lawns asleep.
